The healing touch or the balm of nature to this aching earth, is what can be called Auli, the town where natural allure blooms and blossoms in its full might. Every soul who reaches here, feels delighted to see the beauty of the snowy cascades, the lofty emerald peaks, the lush carpet of grass, which carries the colourful beads of flowers, and of course the snow which freezes the pain andagony of every being who surrenders himself to this heavenly bliss. Politically falling in the Indian state of Uttarakhand, Auli, receives tourists throughout the year, of which many are pilgrims too, on their way to the Badrinath Dham. Ample sightseeing points and abundant hotels are there at Auli and Joshimath. Joshimath also known as Jyotirmath is the neighbouring city to Auli. Both these places are the base halt for Badrinath. The two cities are connected through the ropeway, having a ride in which is a completely thrilling and memorable experience. One of the highest and longest ropeways of Asia, the ropeway from Joshimath to Auli is approx. 4 kilometres long and the highest elevation of which is 3000 metres above the sea level.
